The first baby hospice in the world is now functioning.
It was opened in Liverpool
by England's LIFE. It is being held up as the complete pro-life answer
to the infant euthanasia lobby. Dubbed "Zoe's Place", the
Center has six cots and takes children suffering from major disabilities
up to the age of four. Since its opening,
it has been full most of the time. It cares for terminally ill
children, who are permanent residents. It also is used for respite
care, that is, for two or three days, to enable the care-giving family
to rest, sleep and catch up on daily living. While it has only been
open a few months, there is already
talk of enlarging it.
