Pro-Life Oratory Contest
Greene County, Ohio



Open to 11th and 12th grade students

Give a 5 to 7 minute speech on a "life issue", such as abortion, euthanasia, cloning, stem cell research, disability, etc.

Fist place: $100
Second place: $50

In addition, the winner goes on to the state competition in Columbus.
The state winner goes on to the national competition in Kansas City.
The prize at national is $1000.

Contest: March 12, 2007 Rescheduled to March 26, 2007 due to a schedule conflict

This year the state organizers add the following rule:

We are using a theme this year to encourage our young people to take that next step as pro-life leaders. This year's theme is "I Have a Dream -- How the Future Looks in the Culture of Life". We want the contestants to understand that it is not enough to describe the problem and talk about how bad it is to have a country that allows abortion, euthanasia, infanticide, and the killing of embryonic human beings. We want them to help us to imagine and design a world without these atrocities ...
