Tips for Wise Use

Properly used, E-mailed press releases or letters to the editor can greatly increase your organization's effectiveness and voice in religious and secular media.

Proper etiquette indicates that editors be E-Mailed in advance with a notice that you'd like to E-Mail a press release to them on occasion.

When done in a professional manner, and not over-used, the practice of E-Mailing press release can save both your organization and the editor of the receiving publication a good deal of time in getting a PSA, press release, or even a "Letter to the Editor" to press, as the information is already on the editor's computer and ready to edit.
